Problems with time entry.
PROBLEMS fixed with version 1.2.2
---------------------------------
Bugs in printing. Didn't print the second page.
NEW FEATURES in version 1.2.2
-----------------------------
The header stays at the top of the pane instead of floating up.
PROBLEMS fixed with version 1.2.1
---------------------------------
• Bugs in time importing. 12:00 hours would not import correctly.
NEW FEATURES in version 1.2
-----------------------------
• Added preferences for majors and max caps. This will display an alternate dialog for the courses that includes majors attending the class and a calculator for maximum capacity. This will probably only be useful for previous users of Timeline who were used to this feature. I would have implemented this more elegantly, but I don't see that much of a demand. If you'd like to use this feature, check the "use max caps" box in the preferences dialog box.
• You may now use locked schedule files (Element files will always have to be unlocked -- they are database style,
and DivvyUP is constantly saving automatically to them)
• Added a sort for Section, Room,
• The standard placeholder for empty information in the schedule file is "-", instead of "TBA" (you can change your own personal preference by choosing "preferences" from the EDIT menu).
• "Space" in element show detail changed to "room", as well as in the main display. I thought the word "Room" would be more familiar to most users as the place where classes are held.
• Updated registration dialogs / error checking.
• Title of the schedule file is displayed when printed.
• Time data can now be imported from text import files.
• Added a "Sort Again" menu item to allow the user to refresh the sort if items have been changed or added since the last sort.
PROBLEMS fixed with version 1.2
---------------------------------
• Element now successfully updates the courses associated with it when changed.
• Title prints correctly
• Time sorts properly.
• Import problems.
• Course update problems.
•Cleaner sorting, especially when using older schedule files from older versions of DivvyUP.
• Update problems with the pane -- changing fonts, update from the element show detail used to cause the panes to go "wacky"; now they don't.
• Availability conflicts don't show up during some instances when they are accompanied by scheduling conflicts with the same element.
• Double clicking on a file in the finder that's already open no longer produces two versions of the file in two separate windows.
• More elegant handling of locked schedule files.
• More elegant handling of locked / in-use element file.
• Many, many more.
EXISTING KNOWN BUGS and LIMITATIONS
----------------------------------------
BUG: The header at the top of the document doesn't update the font or size when you change it in the main part of the schedule. Also, the line at the bottom of the header is not always visible, unless you use a small font.
LIMITATION: Multiple time slots for a given course are not supported. (ie. if you
have a course that meets at 9:00 on Mondays but 10:00 on Tuesdays, you will need
to create TWO scheduling entries for the course. This includes labs)
BUG: When using an extension or control panel to change the system font from Chicago
to something else, the Chicago font doesnt go into effect when you choose it from the font menu. This is true with Kaleidoscope, Aaron, and maybe some others.
BUG: There have been reported problems with Kaleidoscope 1.7
BUG: Sometimes crashes on startup (type 3 error) -- you must rebuild your desktop and try again.
